On 7th December, the Social & Projects Committee will be hosting a Christmas Lunch for senior members of Riverside Church. Entertainment in the afternoon will be provided by Aitkenbar Primary School Choir, and by the Allander Jazz Group.
Invitations can be collected at the Church Office. Anyone requiring transport is asked to give their name to Jim.
A very happy, pre-Christmas afternoon is guaranteed for everyone.
The Church of Scotland Panel on Review & Reform is holding a series of regional consultations on Shaping the Future of the Church of Scotland.
They will be in Riverside’s Main Hall on Thursday 28 November between 10am and noon. The Consultations are open to all.

Followed by Soup & Sweet Lunch in the Main Hall (Tickets £5 from the church office).
The Service of Ordination for Ishbel Robertson will take place at Riverside Church on Thursday 21st November at 7.00 pm. Tea, coffee and a light supper will be provided after the service in the Main Hall.
All are welcome to share in this special evening with Ishbel, her family and friends
Members of Dumbarton’s Rock Community Church have raised about £30,000 for a variety of projects in Rwanda helping those affected by the genocide in the area almost 20 years ago. As a sign of gratitude officials and locals have renamed a village “Dumbarton” – read more on the BBC News site

The Social & Projects Committee are organizing a Nearly New Sale in the Church Games’ Hall on Friday and Saturday the 18th and 19th October. Entry will cost £1.00 which includes the cost of tea or coffee with biscuits.
Setting up for the Sale will take place on 16 & 17 October, and items for the sale can be accepted at the church halls from the 14th. If you require uplift of items, or if you can lend a hand, please contact Jim FitzSimons or the Church Office for more details.
In the past our Nearly New Sales have been very popular in the town and local community. They have proved to be excellent fund-raising activities, and the Committee are hoping for good support again this year.
Anyone who would like to offer assistance please speak to Jim or any member of the Social & Projects Committee.
Money raised from the sale this year will go towards the Church Tower Repair Fund.
