World Day of Prayer Week commencing 28 February

  • God of our existence, you enjoy life like a child and adorn it with great pleasure. You know how to convert every day into a miracle and every moment into a reason for celebration
  • God of life, you have been present in all generations. We are the children who receive you; and we ask you to inspire us, just as you inspired all people with the birth of the Child of Bethlehem who taught us the miracle of love
  • Help us to learn from children to receive each other and not to discriminate, but to seek reconciliation in our communities
  • We recognise that we do not always reflect the joy of children nor do we celebrate the abundance of diversity in your creation
  • Forgive us when we do not acknowledge the daily violence against women, children and older people in different places
